I bought this because I wanted to use an older Canon AF lens from a Canon Rebel, but I did not want my newer Canon EOS RP digitally connected to the older AF lens in any way. Instead, I wanted to use it as a manual lens to use with stop-motion animation software. This adapter did the trick!

This has no electrical contracts. So it only works on fully manual “ef” lenses. Granted, those do exist, but they are not what most people are looking for. The description did not make this clear. If you have a Zeiss lens you want to adapt, though, have at it!

Does autofocus work with this adapter? I don’t see the metal communication pins in the product photos.
Also is it dust/water resistant?
This adapter does not support auto focus or exposure, there are no electronic contacts. The adapter is not dust or water resistant.
