Poor mechanical Quality

Poor mechanical tolerances. Nikon lens would not mount, clearances to close. Had to disassemble and to file to get lens on. Canon side fit OK. This is a mechanical only mount, no contacts, no information passed to Lens. You can do better.

Very clever and useful design

I got this to try a few of my old AI-S NIkkor lenses on my new RP. It works as advertised, with one small concern that the tab that releases the Nikon lens from the adapter requires a lot of force to operate. Note: In order to get my RP's shutter to operate, I had to go in the Canon menu system to the Customization tab (fourth from left to right, between the wrench and the star), then the third choice down, C.Fn III: Operation/Others, then choice 7, Release shutter w/o lens, and change that from Disable to Enable. With that set, the shutter button will operate in M, Av, Tv, P, and Fv modes, and will not operate (at least for me) in A or any of the SCN modes. A possible picture-taking process: 1. Set aperture on the lens for preferred depth of field. 2. Set shutter speed for preferred motion blur (including none). 3. Notice what ISO the camera is calculating, and look at the image in the screen or viewfinder. 4. Adjust either or both of the first two settings as necessary. 5. Focus and take the picture. If conditions are stable enough, step 5 can be repeated as desired, for example, (manual) follow focusing on an athlete or wildlife as they move.

The KIPON Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera does not support autofocus or any camera to lens communication. Everything has to be set manually.
