KIPON OM-EOS R Reviews

Old Olympus Zuiko lens on Canon R5

I recently was given an old Olympus OM-1 with a 55mm f1.2 lens. The lens was worth the purchase price while the camera had problems. I wanted to try the lens on my Canon R5 so I read various reviews of other adapters and saw that some had light leaks. They seemed to only show up with long exposures and bright light but that concerned me a bit although the cost was less. The Kipon adapters seemed better with at least one comment that a major camera company (don't remember which one, maybe Hasselblad?) has used Kipon for some of their products. That made me feel better about paying a bit more that wouldn't have some (minor?) flaws. While I haven't had the chance to test for such leaks, so far I'm pleased with the solid fit for both the lens and the camera and how I can ultimately use it.
