Designed for the Baader APO 95/560 CaF2 Travel Companion telescope, the Alpine Astronomical Baader M68 Field Flattener is an indispensable accessory for astrophotography. It virtually eliminates spherical aberration in the objective lens system, especially at the edges. Uncorrected, this aberration causes blurry, defocused, and distorted areas in astrophotography or CCD images. The optics feature a 3-lens corrector system with a large 52mm diameter imaging circle and a 76.11 back focus distance. On the telescope side is an M68a thread; the camera side has an M68i thread. This field flattener is also compatible with Zeiss APQ refractor optical tubes.
