f-stop Slope ICU Reviews

Light Weight Pack

I purchased this to go with a Kashmir 2 Air as a light weight travel pack. The Slope ICU fits the pack well, although it was not easy to get in the pack and the velcro tabs to hold it in place were difficult to attach. It would be nice if it was about 2 inches taller. The depth of the bag tapers vertically and the long dividers match that taper, making them unusable horizontally at the shallow end of the ICU.

The slope is handy given the right lenses

I have a shallow medium ICU that fits very well in some of my backpacks (the depth is a perfect fit). However, all of my lenses need to lay down in the shallow, which means fewer fit in the ICU. That's usually not a problem as I'm not carrying a lot of gear with those backpacks. I got the slope medium ICU to put into my Tilopa pack. The deep end is the perfect height for standing a 14-70 f2.8 lens upright, saving a lot of space for other optics/gear. The narrower end provides more space in the pack outside of the ICU, perfect for stashing clothing layers, etc. I'm very happy with the size.

Has anyone went from the medium slope to large ...

Has anyone went from the medium slope to large pro? It doesn't seem like there's that much more room in the large? I have a Nikon Z6ii, 14-30, 24-70, 28mm and sometimes carry my Sigma Sports 70-200 and the medium is a little tight. Is it worth the upgrade from medium slope to large pro?

The internal dimensions of the f--stop Slope ICU (Black, Medium) is 4.5-6.5 x 10 x10.5". The f-stop PRO ICU (Black, Large) internal dimensions are 6.5 x 10.5 x 14". If the medium is a little tight the extra 4" in height should make a difference.

Is there a medium insert that is just deep ...

Is there a medium insert that is just deep without the slope? the size of the bag is perfect for my smaller kit but the slope doesn't work for me. I have the Large and X-Large ones as well but they are to big for my smaller trips I'm planning, I have gear that is higher than 4.5" inches in height.

You may want to consider the Pacsafe Camsafe PCI-M Protective Camera Insert (Black), BH # PAPCIMBLK which lacks a slope. https://bhpho.to/3u7a66g
