This black Framatic Metro Frame from MCS features a 10 x 10" glass window, and the overall size of the frame is just slightly larger. Rather than being made from cut and joined lengths of pre-finished molding, the Metro frame features a 1/4" thick panel of MDF laser-cut into a frame without mitered corner joints. Wood molding is attached to the back, creating the space for backing and up to 5/16" of artwork. The frame is painted after assembly to create a clean, classic look.

Wide black frame material

This is a well made frame with a rather wide satin black seamless frame material. The finish does pick up finger oil but it buffs out with a soft cloth. Plenty of room for two thicker matte boards (matte plus backing) plus photo artwork. This somewhat visually heavy frame makes a bold statement on the wall. I prefer the Fineline frames, but couldn't find in square sizes appropriate to this artwork. If you have some bold art to balance it, this will be great. Delivered quickly and well-packaged.
