Tilta's 72 to 74mm Seamless Focus Gear Ring allows you to add 0.8 MOD gears to a compatible lens for use with cine follow focuses. This 72 to 74mm size fits virtually all lenses of the same outer diameter. The seamless version is designed with an improvement over Tilta's earlier gear rings in that it's fully closed and requires no screws in order to be secured to the lens. As a result, it attaches to the lens more easily and provides evenly distributed pressure while ensuring zero drifting and accurate focus. It's made of durable, flexible rubber, attaches firmly, and it works silently and smoothly along 360° of rotation. The MOD rating and 72 to 74mm diameter size are etched out on the inside of the ring.

Tilta TA-FGR Overview

Tilta's 72 to 74mm Seamless Focus Gear Ring allows you to add 0.8 MOD gears to a compatible lens for use with cine follow focuses. This 72 to 74mm size fits virtually all lenses of the same outer diameter. The seamless version is designed with an improvement over Tilta's earlier gear rings in that it's fully closed and requires no screws in order to be secured to the lens. As a result, it attaches to the lens more easily and provides evenly distributed pressure while ensuring zero drifting and accurate focus. It's made of durable, flexible rubber, attaches firmly, and it works silently and smoothly along 360° of rotation. The MOD rating and 72 to 74mm diameter size are etched out on the inside of the ring.

There are 14 different sizes to choose from for different lenses. Please see the list of lenses below and the compatible ring size next to each one. Other lenses may be compatible as well, but the below list has been confirmed by Tilta.

This works with any lens that has a outer diameter between 72 to 74mm. The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens is 72.1mm. It will work just fine with BH #NI5018GAF.

The following focus gear ring should work https://bhpho.to/3e64SPM, as the filter thread of the lens is 67mm, but you may also opt for a slightly smaller one if this one still feels a little loose. Unfortunately, the manufacturer only provides details of the front, outermost diameter, which is 69mm, thus we're estimating that a 66-68mm focus gear ring should fit nicely.
