SWAROVSKI OPTIK 12x42 NL Pure Binoculars (Swarovski Green)
Key Features
  • Fluorite-Containing HD Glass Elements
  • Field-Flattener Lens System
  • SWAROBRIGHT, SWAROTOP, SWARODUR Coatings
  • Ultrawide 71° Viewing Angle
Ideal for use in wide open and expansive terrain, like the plains of the American West, where observing game and other subjects at extremely long distances is common, the Swarovski 12x42 NL Pure Binoculars boast an ultrawide field of view and exceptional eye relief in a compact magnesium housing. The NL Pure further employ extra-low dispersion (HD) glass elements and a range of proprietary optical coatings that, when combined with their other performance features, deliver impressive image quality and durability. In keeping with it's tradition of high-performance optics, Swarovski uses highly reflective roof prisms and fully multicoated fluorite-containing HD glass lenses to deliver superior image quality. A field-flattener lens system complements the glass and coatings to keep the edges of the view crisp and sharp. The resulting views are rich with detail and saturated with lifelike color with exceptional contrast and resolution.

What would be the ideal magnification with a 42mm aperture for safari viewing? Is 12x with the forehead mount crazy to consider?
Asked by: Joshua
If "safari viewing" means looking at large animals at a distance, the 12x would seem the obvious choice. 8x is advantageous when you are close to the subject, as in a forest. If you will be on the open veldt, why would you choose a lower power?

Can someone please let me know what you think about the "shake" between 8x42 and 12x42? Is there a huge difference between them for using in birding, hiking, Safari and overall in the wild? I'm struggling to decide which one to buy. Thanks
Asked by: NEILPING
If you are Birding, and Wildlife Viewing the 8X42 Model would be the way to go. 12X might be too shaky, and unstable for your purpose. I would go with the 8X if I were deciding between the two. Plus the 8X will be better in low light situations.

When using the Swarovski 12x42 NL Pure Binoculars, the Right Eyepiece Lens will be able to be adjusted for the most comfortable positioning to see a high resolution view. The 12X magnification may require a tripod to keep the view steady.

Do they come with the forehead brace? I don't see it as an accessory, it's pictured, but not listed "in the box".
Asked by: Todd
The Swarovski 12x42 NL Pure Binoculars do not come with the forehead head. That is an optional accessory. Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/3gP4XIb
