The FastBox Octagonal Softbox from Angler is a 20" octagonal softbox that is designed to setup and collapse in a fraction of the time it takes to set up a standard softbox. With a single motion it expands to snap and lock into a classic octagonal shape favored by fashion and portrait photographers for even lighting and round catchlights in your subject's eyes. The FastBox Octagonal Softbox from Angler is a 20" octagonal softbox that is designed to setup and collapse in a fraction of the time it takes to set up a standard softbox. With a single motion it expands to snap and lock into a classic octagonal shape favored by fashion and portrait photographers for even lighting and round catchlights in your subject's eyes. The silver interior amplifies the output from an on-camera flash, and the inner and outer diffusers create an even beam without hot spots. The FastBox has an adjustable 120° angle, and features a twist lock stand adapter that can be attached to any standard 5/8" stud.

The separately available adapter rings allow the mount to be attached to on-camera type flash units, Profoto-A mount, or Godox V1 mount compatible lights.

The integrated pistol grip has a 120° tilt adjustment with a locking trigger, so it only takes a squeeze of the trigger to aim the FastBox up toward the ceiling or down for a product shot

Two Diffusion Layers

The front diffuser and inner baffle evenly diffuses flash output from corner to corner, casting a soft, smooth, and flattering light while minimizing hotspots

great for when you're on the move

The softbox is quick to set up and does a good job, however, I found after little use the wire struts popped out of the plastic ring that is meant to hold it in. Considering this happened on it's 2nd job I am not sure on the longevity. I managed to get the wire back in and it's back to working.

I hate putting together complicated modifiers and this one just pops up, plus it has a magnetic ring for my Godox V1 flash. Such a cool idea! It's a bit small but perfect for travel.

I bought this on the promise that it would be a faster setup and take down and it doesn't disappoint. Only take a few seconds to set up, holds my Godox v1 securely, easy to adjust the head angle, can use magnetic gels and it folds down flat. Everything that's important for a fast paced wedding photographer. It's a little on the pricey side but it's the best designed piece of gear I've used in a while. Well done Angler!

Light, extremely fast and easy set up. The design is excellent. It might not be as tough as other boxes but the ease of using wins. Quality of light is also good for a simple system. Recommended.

At first this thing feels cheaply made. More precisely it is used with more plastics and thinner materials to make it ridiculously light. I use it fairly often. Never had an issue with it. The thing I love most is the honeycomb grid that goes with it. It is one of the best grids i've used. Not too much velcro like most others where it takes forever to take off and it is very rigid and well made. No floppy or saggy sections like many other grids.

The flash falls it not a good magnet

when you install or put on the flash just hit a little the floor with the legs of the tripod or even the angler rod and the flash will fall off I just had to sent my profoto to fix because the inside of the head got broken. SERIOUSLY DONT BUY IT!
