The lightweight Camera Cage from SmallRig provides accessory mounting and protection for your a7S III mirrorless camera. The camera mounts onto this formfitting aluminum cage with an integrated 1/4"-20 screw, and it incorporates an anti-twist design with padding on the base to protect the camera from scratching. It maintains access to the camera's controls and hot shoe, and it features a variety of mounting options.
In addition to one integrated shoe mount and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads, the cage features ARRI-style accessory threads for preventing accessories from twisting when mounted on the cage. The cage also features a NATO rail on the side and mounting threads on the front for a separately available lens adapter. An Allen wrench stores on the bottom via a magnet for tightening the camera screw.

I bought the wrong cage by accident and didn't realize it until about a week after I had it but that's a good thing as it means it works with other cameras. It's lightweight and has plenty of places to thread attachments onto it and overall I'm happy with it. Now I just need an A7SIII to put inside it.

After assembled this cage with A7S iii, how to mount it on RRS Lever Release Clamp horizontally and vertically? Which RRS plate or part I should purchased? I would like to make the final assembly 100% compatible with RRS LR clamp.
You can use a Really Right Stuff BP-CS Multi-Camera Conventional Plate, BH # REBPCSPLATE which can still leave you access to the battery door and would mount horizontally to an RRS Lever Release Clamp.

What 15mm rod support bracket will mount using the two small holes on the bottom front of the cage that are spaced 27mm apart? The smallrig 942 bracket is too wide for this cage. Is there a bracket that fits, or are these mounting holes for something else?
Usually those screws in the front are used for lens support.

Will this also fit A7III/A7RIII? - It looks like there is clearance on all the doors and the face isn't significantly changed model to model.
This is designed specifically for the A7SIII. It may work with past models, but we do not recommend it. For the A7III/A7RIII you would want to look at BH #SMCCS2645 instead.
