ProMediaGear TR42MX Reviews

Great for what I need but maybe not for everyone

I bought this for field sports when using my 400, 2.8 lens and it it much more stable with that lens on than my other monopod. I am 6'2 so the added height is really nice to have, also the ability to use it if I am elevated to shoot over a fence and it's on the ground is helpful at times. Strong, stable, well built and lightweight describes it well. Persons with small hands may struggle with it as the diameter is quite large compared to others, but that really helps with the stability. Perfect for what I was looking for.

Exceptional build quality

Having read all the reviews I opted to purchase this even with it being out of stock. It ended up taking about 5 weeks from order to arrive. I've had other high end tripods from other manufacturers and I can clearly state that this is a cut above the rest. Absolutely rock solid and engineered for easy maintenance.

Can the foot become unscrewed from this monopod? ...

Can the foot become unscrewed from this monopod? I own a top rated monopod fromEurope and have had to replace the foot, because it is lost during use.
Asked by: James L
Yes the foot is removable for access to the spike. It would unscrew in order to remove it.
