The Nikon Retractable Rangefinder Tether, in the TrueTimber KANATI camouflage pattern, was developed to help you safely manage the simultaneous use of binoculars and a ranging device. Its stainless steel spring retracts a 25" nylon-coated stainless steel cable into the case to keep a rangefinder or other accessory close at hand, yet secure and out of the way when not being used. Simply use the included split ring to attach the cable to your device or accessory and clip the tether's swivel carabiner onto a belt loop, a bag's MOLLE loop, or a backpack's shoulder strap D-ring, and you're good to go.

Almost, a must have. Clips on almost anywhere. I clip it on my hunters safety vest Close to a pocket where I can slip it in and out, or if I don’t have time it can dangle out of the way. works awesome! It would be better if it had a heavy string or light cable loop on the end of the teather instead of a key ring to hook to a rangefinder because the hole on the range finder is too small for the key ring. I had to remove the key ring and add my own wire loop to make it work.
