Pelican 1615 Air Overview

The 70.5L, black 1615 Air Case from Pelican is made from lightweight HPX2 polymer to protect and store your sensitive gear during transport. The dust, crush, and waterproof case has push-button latches on three sides to keep it securely closed until you open it. This edition of the 1615 Air Case comes lined but without foam or other inserts, allowing you the freedom to completely customize the roomy 29.6 x 15.5 x 9.4" interior to your specific needs and gear. Carry the case with the three oversized handles or for heavy loads, extend the pull handle and tow it behind you on its low-profile, smooth-rolling wheels.

It has an O-ring that seals it to an IP67-rating, and for added security it accepts user-supplied padlocks. The pressure relief valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop. For easy identification, there's a polycarbonate card holder that may be placed on the front or side of the case.

Is this big enough for light stands and tripods? Or is there a better hard case for that application?
Asked by: Adam
It will ultimately depend on the amount of lightstands you have and their dimensions. Internally, this is 29.6" long, so it might fit a few 6' stands, but maybe not a 8~10' depending on its dimensions. Cases specifically for stands do exist, like this SKB roto-molded stand/tripod case: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1030290-REG/skb_1skb_r3709w_roto_molded_tripod_case_with.html

Can it fit 2 Aputure LS60x with v-mount b plus video gear (2 sony a7s3, 3 small lens) and audio gear (tascam dr-10l and dr-40x)?
Asked by: Neeraj
It is very hard to know if it will fit just by looking at the dimensions online. I would recommend you to place all of that equipment on a table as it would go in the case and measure length, width, and height and compare that with the internal measurements of the Pelican 1615AirNF Wheeled Hard Case with Liner, No Insert (Black) which is 29.6 x 15.5 x 9.4".

This case fit a blackmajick 6K with his cage , lens , Matter box , monitor , handle set ? Battery V mount , and mic ?

The Pelican 1615AirWF Wheeled Hard Case with Foam Insert (Black) (B&H# PE1615ACFB) has an interior space of 29.6 x 15.5 x 9.4" (75.2 x 39.4 x 23.9cm). Within that space there is a layer of foam on each side and also cubed (pick and pluck) foam in the middle. It will therefore accommodate many non tall items and rigs (up to about 7" tall) easily. To test that, we would recommend attempting to position all of the items you mentioned in a space that is about 27 x 13" (68 x 33cm) on a table while leaving an inch of room between items that need protection from each other where there would be cubed foam. If you can fit everything and still keep it all under 7.5" (19cm) tall then it should fit in the case.
