The Raja softbox has a reflective silver interior and offers two removable fabric layers, an inner baffle, and a front diffuser. Using both parts will soften your light considerably and reduce your output while removing one diffuser can help increase contrast or make shadows harsher. A bag is provided so you can easily fit and transport your modifier.

I have more than a few Phottix boxes now and my reviews show mixed feelings. I have noticed that the hexa boxes are much better than the rectangular ones. With the rectangles I have seen color shifts and weird falloff patterns. This 47 and it's bigger counterpart have worked exceptionally well. Easy to set up and easy to tote around (it is heavyish, but not a chore). Very nice for the money.

This review is of the Phottix Raja Hexa Softbox (59).
It provides a very pleasing soft light. Removing the outer diffusion easily allows for a nice increase in contrast.
The build quality is good. It opens and locks into place very easily.
It weighs 6 lbs. 6 oz. with both diffusers in place, requiring a substantial strobe mount to hold it in place.
If your strobe will support the weight, I highly recommend this softbox.
To remove all of the softbox weight from the strobe head
the pictures show a DIY mount. Two 6” corner braces, one straight brace, four knobs with ¼” x 20 threads, two screws and nuts and one Manfrotto 014-38 Rapid Adapter. All of the hardware was in stock at my local Lowes. Attach this DIY support to a 2.5” grip head and it is fully adjustable.

I have purchased phottix raja 150mm hexagonal ...
I have purchased phottix raja 150mm hexagonal umbrella. I have wrinkles in the silver reflector. The location of those wrinkles are one the outer edge of the softbox. Do those wrinkles affect the original light quality from the softboxes. Please share if any one has same problem. I mainly took portrait.

The wrinkles in the fabric would never effect the quality nor the intensity of your light. Heck, I have rips and tears all over mine and they don’t affect it.

Can anyone recommend a good way to support the weight of this modifier? Since it mounts to the light and not directly to a stand, it puts a lot of strain on both the S-mount on the front of my light and on the angle control on the bottom of the light.

Other than placing a support stand under the modifier, there really isn't anything else you can do.
