Roland's V-1HD+ Compact 4 x HDMI Video Switcher is a portable solution for HD video production that accommodates up to four HDMI inputs, as well as PC resolutions over one of the inputs. Each input has a frame buffer/TBC and supports frame rate conversion, so you don't need to genlock your input sources together. You can control the switcher manually by using the built-in controls or remotely via RS-232, and it has a tally output for working with live cameras. Select your working resolution and switch between four input sources. Built into the switcher is a 14-channel audio mixer that can de-embed and embed audio signals from HDMI.

Can this device automatically switch between cameras by detecting sound from microphones? E.g. microphone no 1 can activate camera no 1 and etc.?
No, the Roland V-1HD+ Compact 4 x HDMI Video Switcher does not have any such feature.

By default the audio inputs are controlled individually they can be assigned as a stereo pair if you wish.

Anyone know what a orange square on the monitor means?? It's in the upper right corner of one of the 4 HDMI preview screens.
To "Richard Staff"... I asked what the ORANGE square in the coner of the monitor is. ORANGE, not what the red/green outlines around the preview are.

Does this have a loud fan? The V-1HD does and it is not usable in a quiet environment.
This is a brand new product, which we have yet to receive in stock, and have therefore, not been able to test it in a real life environment. There are currently no sources that specify how loud or quiet the fan on this unit may be.

There is no tally integration with this switcher and that is what is needed to operate tally lights.
