Got a Tilta Red run-stop cable in late March. Used it maybe four times and it stopped working about 1 month ago. Tried to RMA the cable but Tilta said 30 day warranty on cables which really should be 1 year. Total waste of money.

Always good!

Is this only for the Nucleus M, or would this also work with the Nucleus Nano?
Asked by: Ryan
It would work with the nano if you purchase a tiltaing side handle and pair the handle with the nano. The handle connects to the Komodo with this cable. It worked for me.

There are two posts with different answers from B&H. In Feb 2021 Geetika writes "You can purchase the Wooden Camera B-Box for the RED Komodo and there is a R/S port on the box. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1572815-REG/wooden_camera_280500_b_box_red_komodo.html" implying it's a 3 pin connector. But in March 2022 Gracem writes "One end is 7-pin for connecting to one of the Tilta Nucleus-M motors, and the other end is the 9-Pin LEMO to plug in the EXT port on the Komodo.". So it 3 or 9 pin? Can you please give us a definitive answer?
Asked by: Martin
I am almost certain this cable is a 7-pin to 9-pin. Just based off the fact all the knockoffs on Amazon sell it as such.

This cable looks like it would work to connect the Tilta Side Wooden Handle 2.0 with R/S Button to the Komodo EXT port to allow run/stop. Anyone confirm?
Asked by: Stuart
Tilta does not currently have a Side Wooden Handle that is designed to work with the Red Komodo.

I think the confusion in all these questions, which is still not answered is.... does this cable just go into the EXT port at the back of the KOMODO... is that the "R/S" port. Can the Tilta representative please answer this? And does it matter which port it comes into on the motor? 1, 2? no matter? (Just bought this cable)
Asked by: Richard
The R/S function is shared within the EXT port. Any reference to the RED KOMODO's R/S port is going to point to the EXT port. The Tilta Nucleus-M Run/Stop Cable for RED KOMODO uses the EXT port on the RED KOMODO.

I'm so confused by this, because the RED Komodo doesn't have an R/S port. So how does this "plugs into the R/S port of the camera" if the camera doesn't have an R/S port? The Komodo has an EXT port that can breakout to various ports. So does this cable plug into that EXT port on the camera? Or what? Very confused by this.

Works with 3 pin fischer r/s on the Mutiny IO for Komodo and other port expanders like it.

How may pins on the camera end?
Asked by: charles w
The camera end has the correct connections for the Red Komodo. There is no info listed beyond that as this cable only works with the Red Komodo.

Can this cable be connected from the Nucleus M directly to the Komodo Ext port to control R/S?
