The FreeWave Plus Remote Shutter Release from Vello is a wireless shutter release set that allows select Panasonic cameras to be triggered remotely to get shots from distances as far as 320' away. Multiple available shooting modes allow shooting in single, continuous, four-second delay, and bulb modes. The dual-function release enables pre-focusing by half-pressing the trigger button, then firing the shutter release by fully pressing. LED indicators confirm pre-focus and exposure status. The compact transmitter and remote receiver unit are each powered by two AAA batteries.

Same question relates to Lumix GX-9 camera. Does the receiver of this remote set have the hot shoe or cold shoe. I can't tell by look at all the pictures. My thought is if it des have the hot shoe, you can make the remote operation work? Please clarify, thanks
The receiver included with the Vello FreeWave Plus II Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Select Panasonic Cameras has a cold shoe mount for convenience, which will allow you to mount it on top of the camera rather than allowing it to dangle by the remote cord connected to the remote shutter port. If you decide not to mount the receiver on the camera, then it can still function with the remote cable.

The Vello FWP-P FreeWave Plus II comes supplied with a 2.5mm connecting cable, which should fit directly into the socket on the right side of the camera labeled REMOTE.
