Does this use the same battery as the V860II?
Asked by: Jeffrey
The V860III takes the same battery as (and is interchangeable with) the V1, the VB26A. It does not share/take batteries from the V860II or the AD100. See Godox's website for further clarification if necessary.

Can you charge the battery by plugging USB-C ...

Can you charge the battery by plugging USB-C power directly into the USB-C port rather than the just the external charger? Manual only mentions the port is for firmware updates. Hoping I won't need to take the charger everywhere and can charge the battery directly in the flash.
Asked by: Kirk
Just tested a unit. You can only charge the battery by pulling it out and using the external charger. The USB-C port on the flash itself isn't very useful. Kind of a waste for it to be there for only firmware updates. Oh well.
