I plan to use this with an a1 w/ the verified grip attached and Xlr show mounted with a mic. Given the extra weight on the camera, should a tripod still be mounted to the collar? Or will I need to purchase a lens support system and attach the tripod to the camera?
Asked by: Zach
A lens support system would be ideal. All the gear you have is pretty pricey. The lens support will guarantee that everything will work as it should.

Would it be possible to use an 82mm step up ring ...

Would it be possible to use an 82mm step up ring with the lens hood? It might be a long shot, but the hood seems like it might be big enough, and I really would prefer to have only one set of filters (especially because I'm considering transitioning to an expensive magnetic filter set).
Asked by: Karl
You cannot use the included hood on the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II Lens with a 77-82mm step-up ring.
