SmallRig 3875 Overview

Add this durable Magic Arm with Dual Ball Heads from SmallRig to your rig to mount and adjust monitors, viewfinders, lights, mics, and other accessories. It features dual ball heads with one 1/4"-20 screw on one end and a NATO clamp on the other end, and both ends feature tightening thumbwheels.

This lightweight aluminum and stainless steel arm has a load capacity of 12 lb. Each ball mount features a silicone gasket to add grip and friction to the mount when adjusting position, and both are tightened with a center locking lever. A magnetic wrench is included to help tighten the thumbwheels.

Got it to mount a monitor to my cage that has a Nato Rail. Works great. Super happy it has a little key to tighten the 1/4 screw in the locking handle. Didn't know that when I bought it and was super happy.

A necessary addition to your kit

I bought this arm, more out of curiosity and to test it against larger, articulating arms from the same manufacturer. In my opinion, this accessory is more useful than a nine or 11 inch arm for lite camera gear. I have used duel ball devices for many of my hobbies. I have not ever been happy with them because I can’t get them to lock down tight enough. This arm locks down wonderfully, most likely due to the two rubber O-rings that fit around the ball heads. They tighten down very nicely and hold well.SmallRig also includes two extra O-rings so you can replace them after they wear out. I like the NATO Rail adapter, but it is only usable if you have a camera frame. For its size is beefy little arm holds very well and is actually easier to use than a larger articulating arm. If you have heavier equipment or need a longer arm, I highly recommend an iFootage Spider crab magic arm. I know they’re like $110 but they’re very well worth the price.

Yes, the SmallRig Magic Arm with Dual Ball Heads (1/4"-20 Screw and NATO Clamp) has a standard Arri-Style 1/4"-20 pins and will attach to the bottom or sides of the SmallHD Cine 7 Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor (L-Series), B&H # SMMONCINE7.
