This large DSLR V3 Core Unit from Shimoda Designs is an interior divider insert that accommodates gripped and non-gripped mirrorless or DSLR cameras up to 6.3" tall. Its interior length allows you to carry longer telephoto lenses, as well as other equipment that is longer in length. This core unit is ideal for when you need to pack, cushion, organize, and protect a lot of gear. It integrates seamlessly with the side access of the Action X40, X50, and Explore 35 backpacks. It will also fit in the X70 backpack, as well as the Carry-On and DV roller cases. This core unit comes with EVA-laminated dividers and sidewalls, an internal frame for rigidity and support, and a lightweight, versatile, and removable skin.
Quick Side Camera Access
The large DSLR core unit has integrated side access and full rear access. The side door connects to an Explore or Action X backpack's side-panel for smooth and easy operation.
Modular Stacking
Slightly more volume than a medium and a small DSLR core unit combined. In a large pack like the Action X70, you can stack a small DSLR core unit on top of this large one for additional gear capacity.
Lightweight Water-Resistant and Multipurpose Skin
The skin's primary function is to provide a storage and dust cover for the padded core unit, useful for when your gear is packed away at home. It keeps the core unit sealed and protected. The skin's secondary function is as a packing cell. You can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it in your backpack or carry-on roller.
EVA Protective Shell, Dividers, and Frame
The unit has EVA foam walls and dividers for enhanced protection. An internal frame keeps the walls stable and prevents them from collapsing under the weight of your equipment. The frame maintains proper weight distribution of your camera gear and eliminates internal sagging in your pack.
