The RC 30B Bi-Color LED Focusing Video Light from SmallRig is an adjustable bi-color LED light suitable for both video and still applications. SmallRig RC 30B Overview

The RC 30B Bi-Color LED Focusing Video Light from SmallRig is an adjustable bi-color LED light suitable for both video and still applications. The output from the COB array can be continuously focused from a 60° flood to a tight 15° spot. The color temperature can be adjusted from a warm tungsten tone to a crisp, cool daylight.

This compact and lightweight LED unit includes 4-leaf barndoors that help control beam spread and spill light for more selective lighting control. The adjustable stand adapter features a 5/8" baby pin receiver and an umbrella mount.

Four bricks I cannot use - why?

Purchased four of these 30W lights only to find out that SmallRig 'discontinued' the cable to power the lights (Discontinued: SmallRig USB-C to DC Power Cable for RC 30B). This question goes to SmallRig - why did you discontinue this critical and required cable so the lights can be portable? The honorable thing for them to do is bring that cable back into production and make it available again as I am now stuck with 4 bricks I cannot use via portability on location.

I love these things. I bought two for international travel and I couldn't be happier. Great for hair lights, lighting up a background, anything really. They run great on v-mount batteries. I actually like that everything is plastic because it drastically reduces the weight. I recommend an ultralight carbon-fiber stand to pair with it and you've got an instant travel kit that you can do 85% of what you need to do with it. For $100 in the video world, what more can you ask for?

As of February 2026, I can power it with a USB-C power bank (20V/5A) using a 100W PD cable. It lasts for 2 hours and 20 minutes at maximum power.
