The RC 30B Bi-Color LED Focusing Video Light from SmallRig is an adjustable bi-color LED light suitable for both video and still applications. SmallRig RC 30B Overview

The RC 30B Bi-Color LED Focusing Video Light from SmallRig is an adjustable bi-color LED light suitable for both video and still applications. The output from the COB array can be continuously focused from a 60° flood to a tight 15° spot. The color temperature can be adjusted from a warm tungsten tone to a crisp, cool daylight.

This compact and lightweight LED unit includes 4-leaf barndoors that help control beam spread and spill light for more selective lighting control. The adjustable stand adapter features a 5/8" baby pin receiver and an umbrella mount.

Good light output for an accent light or hair light, but...

I needed a small backlight to use in a podcast studio, and saw some good reviews for this light. It has a pretty good light output for a small set, or to be used as an accent light for the background. The issue with this light is, that the barn doors are very flimsy. They're constantly falling off and getting detached from the light fixture. I guess you can't ask for more from a $90 led light.

As of February 2026, I can power it with a USB-C power bank (20V/5A) using a 100W PD cable. It lasts for 2 hours and 20 minutes at maximum power.
