How does this compare to the 28mm SE lens as far as image quality goes?
The 26mm is sharper even wide open in the center, it has better closeup, better colors, better contrast, it can at least produce sunstars and has a bit more 3d pop. The 28mm has better corners sharpness and more silent AF

When using a filter on the Nikon NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 Lens, you will need a standard 52mm cap instead of the included slip on cap. I would recommend the Nikon LC-52B 52mm Snap-On Front Lens Cap: (BH # NILC52B MFR # 4244).
