Synology HAT3310 Plus Internal HDD Reviews
available and Synology-branded
I purchased "Synology" drives for my new DS225+ for only two reasons: 1) availability when I needed them, and 2) lack of trust in Synology and their attitude about non-"Synology" drives. They are not subjectively different in performance, noise, operating temperature, or power consumption from the 8-year-old HGST Deskstar NAS drives in my DS218+. They are still working after two weeks, but the key attribute of a HDD, reliability in the long term, cannot be judged for years. Given my previous experiences with Toshiba HDDs, my expectation of long term reliability of these branded Toshiba HDDs is not high. Time will tell.
Fast BH shipping, it works.
not much to say, mostly, I am glad I could even find a 7200 rpm, 12GB drive. BH had stock when most did not. I recently bought 4 Seagate 12GB drives and one arrived dead on Arrival, BH quickly replaced and expedited shipping. I Put it in the NAS drive, it worked, that is all I need.
