High Output
Designed with chip-on-board (COB) LED technology, the G300 is suitable for use in interior, exterior, and mixed lighting conditions. It offers a variable color temperature of 2700 to 6500K and dims from 100 to 0%. At 5500K, this bright LED light delivers 15,500 lux at 3.3', rising to 61,000 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector. Users will appreciate advanced proficiency in color reproduction with impressive ratings of CRI 95, TLCI 97, CQS 94, TM-30 Rf 94, and TM-30 Rg 101.
Innovative Design and Control
With no complications, adjustments are quickly and easily made onboard or from a distance via the app. Detachable from the light body, the G300's controller is equipped with two interactive buttons and a display screen for simple and quick management of the light's settings. For remote operation, the ZY Vega app lets you control dimming and switch presets using your smartphone. Five built-in presets for easy one-press color temperature and brightness adjustment.
MAX Extreme Mode
The MAX Extreme mode enables you to increase the light fixture's output when you need extra power to brighten your scenes. The G300 boasts a peak output of up to 300W under normal usage, but with this one-press mode, it delivers a peak output of up to 500W. At 4300K, the MAX Extreme mode brightness is 20,300 lux at 3.3', escalating to 81,100 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector.
One Light, Three Modes
The light features Normal, Live, and Music modes, which can be used to enhance and even transform your shot. The G300 also boasts 14 built-in effects for creative, scene-specific lighting.
Cooling and Convenience
The sleek design houses a COB light source with a meticulous cooling system. The G200 employs its DynaVort Cooling System, which consists of a heat sink and an FOC fan to prevent overheating. Although the G300 is small, the unit offers full Bowens-mount versatility for compatibility with a wide variety of separately available modifiers. The light's integrated arm is 180° adjustable for easy positioning. Besides that, an umbrella slot also makes the fixture flexible and convenient to use.

Bought this on B&H due to the return policy... but thankfully this light is a keeper!
The G300 is quick and simple to assemble, basically just need to connect the power brick to the light and then the AC cord to the brick. It's not as heavy/bulky as some of my strobes and the size is convenient enough to travel with for events. You can definitely still feel the sturdy build quality in the design, though!
The G300 primarily runs on AC power, but I can use it with a small 300W portable power station for a little extra mobility and run for about 2 hours when used at the 40-50% range with breaks. It also comes equipped with the ever popular Bowens mount, so finding a compatible softbox shouldn't be any trouble at all.
This unit is bright, impressing my other photo and video friends who were shooting with me at the event when I let them try it out between my shoots. While there is an app available for this light, I didn't even need to download it since the interface and dials felt easy enough to adjust as-is. I also didn't notice any fan noise when I was filming, which is always a plus.
Definitely planning on using this for more location shoots in the near future, as well as at the home studio.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the Zhiyun Molus G300 light. Its compact design and excellent build quality immediately stood out to me. I appreciate that the yoke’s bottom mount, which attaches to the light stand, is made of metal—it’s solid, durable, and fully adjustable.
The adjustable color temperature range of 2700K-6500K is ideal for my needs, offering great versatility for different shooting environments. The built-in preset lighting effects are a fun bonus, and my favorite is the “music” effect, which reacts dynamically to sound. It’s perfect for shooting music videos and adds a unique creative touch to projects.
The 300-watt output is a fantastic addition to my setup, and the overclocked MAX mode at 500 watts is impressively bright. I also love the convenience of controlling the light through the mobile app, which makes adjustments quick and seamless. The Bowen’s mount design is solid, and the inclusion of an umbrella mounting option adds even more flexibility.
Overall, the Molus G300 has been a great addition to my lighting arsenal, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance and features.

The Zhiyun MOLUS G300 Bi-Color LED Monolight has a silent mode, but this cuts down on output. The fan does make some noise.

How long can you run this light at 500W Max mode? Will it overheat after a long period of time?

The Zhiyun MOLUS G300 Bi-Color LED Monolight will automatically shut off MAX mode when it reaches 30° C. When the MAX mode is used at temperatures exceeding 30° C, the MOLUS G300 will automatically disable the MAX mode and return to the CCT mode once the temperature has risen to a certain level. Therefore, if you have power and stay under a 30°C operating temperature, you should be able to run for an extended time. Though, I do not think its intended purpose is for extended use at 500W.
