High Output
Designed with chip-on-board (COB) LED technology, the G300 is suitable for use in interior, exterior, and mixed lighting conditions. It offers a variable color temperature of 2700 to 6500K and dims from 100 to 0%. At 5500K, this bright LED light delivers 15,500 lux at 3.3', rising to 61,000 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector. Users will appreciate advanced proficiency in color reproduction with impressive ratings of CRI 95, TLCI 97, CQS 94, TM-30 Rf 94, and TM-30 Rg 101.
Innovative Design and Control
With no complications, adjustments are quickly and easily made onboard or from a distance via the app. Detachable from the light body, the G300's controller is equipped with two interactive buttons and a display screen for simple and quick management of the light's settings. For remote operation, the ZY Vega app lets you control dimming and switch presets using your smartphone. Five built-in presets for easy one-press color temperature and brightness adjustment.
MAX Extreme Mode
The MAX Extreme mode enables you to increase the light fixture's output when you need extra power to brighten your scenes. The G300 boasts a peak output of up to 300W under normal usage, but with this one-press mode, it delivers a peak output of up to 500W. At 4300K, the MAX Extreme mode brightness is 20,300 lux at 3.3', escalating to 81,100 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector.
One Light, Three Modes
The light features Normal, Live, and Music modes, which can be used to enhance and even transform your shot. The G300 also boasts 14 built-in effects for creative, scene-specific lighting.
Cooling and Convenience
The sleek design houses a COB light source with a meticulous cooling system. The G200 employs its DynaVort Cooling System, which consists of a heat sink and an FOC fan to prevent overheating. Although the G300 is small, the unit offers full Bowens-mount versatility for compatibility with a wide variety of separately available modifiers. The light's integrated arm is 180° adjustable for easy positioning. Besides that, an umbrella slot also makes the fixture flexible and convenient to use.

I purchased this light because I needed a Bi-Color light and now I will soon buy a 2nd one. Very small and easy to travel with but packs tons of power to help you film in many different situations.

I recently got two Zhiyun MOLUS G300 lights and have spent the past few weeks putting them through their paces. Without a doubt, these are some of the best compact continuous lights I’ve worked with. They’re the smallest 300W lights I’ve ever seen, yet they deliver an impressive amount of light with a well-balanced, even output.
The build quality is excellent — solidly constructed and designed for professional use. The detachable power unit features intuitive dials for quick adjustments to brightness and color temperature (2700K–6500K), and the ZY Vega app allows for seamless remote control, making these lights incredibly easy to use on fast-paced shoots and large sets. The Bowens mount adds versatility, supporting a wide range of modifiers.
Even at 300W, these lights are exceptionally bright, and I’m looking forward to testing the 500W MAX Extreme mode soon. The cooling system is impressively quiet — I barely noticed when the fans were running. Whether for photography or video work, the MOLUS G300 is a great light.
Zhiyun has delivered, once again, with this powerful, compact, and high-performing light. If you’re in the market for a bi-color 300W continuous light for photo or video, I can’t recommend the MOLUS G300 highly enough.

The Zhiyun MOLUS G300 Bi-Color LED Monolight has a silent mode, but this cuts down on output. The fan does make some noise.

Is there a way to run this light via a V mount battery?

The Zhiyun MOLUS G300 Bi-Color LED Monolight is a 300-watt light that connects to a wall socket via a double prong. A V-mount battery would not be sufficient for a power outage; however, the Zhyiun MOLUS can be powered by a small power station such as the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus Portable Power Station.

How long can you run this light at 500W Max mode? Will it overheat after a long period of time?

The Zhiyun MOLUS G300 Bi-Color LED Monolight will automatically shut off MAX mode when it reaches 30° C. When the MAX mode is used at temperatures exceeding 30° C, the MOLUS G300 will automatically disable the MAX mode and return to the CCT mode once the temperature has risen to a certain level. Therefore, if you have power and stay under a 30°C operating temperature, you should be able to run for an extended time. Though, I do not think its intended purpose is for extended use at 500W.
