Securely monitor your surroundings with the Tapo C520WS 4MP Outdoor Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Security Camera from TP-Link. This unit uses a 1/3" CMOS sensor that captures 2560 x 1440 resolution video at 30 fps. IR LEDs deliver up to 98' of night vision. Additionally, dual spotlights provide illumination for recording full color video at night and in low-light conditions, while deterring unwanted activity. The camera features a 3.18mm fixed lens with 360° panning and 130° tilting ranges. Two-way audio is possible thanks to a built-in speaker and microphone. A memory card slot supports microSD cards up to 512GB (available separately).

No, a subscription is not required in order to use the camera. Video clips can be stored locally via a microSD card (sold separately). Storing video locally via a microSD card does not require a subscription. Alternatively, we offer an optional, subscription-based cloud storage plan via TapoCare, if cloud storage is of interest to you.

No, the Tapo C520WS connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Fortunately, it is common for routers that support 5 GHz to simultaneously support 2.4 GHz.

Is this camera series compatible with the TP-Link Kasa app as used with the KC420 camera or are the 420’s upwardly compatible?
No, the TP-Link Tapo C520WS 4MP Outdoor Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Security Camera with Night Vision & Spotlights is not compatible with the Kasa app. You must use the Tapo app.
