Optical Performance
  • 15x magnification
  • Large 56mm objective lenses
  • BAK4 compact roof prisms
  • Low-dispersion HD glass helps to limit color fringing and off-axis coma for true color fidelity, and increased light transmission for brighter, clearer, high-contrast images
  • Phase-corrected prisms reduce internal light diffraction to improve contrast and clarity
  • Antireflection fully multicoated optics produce neutral and accurate color fidelity, and improve contrast and image brightness
Use and Handling
  • Large textured fast-focus wheel allows for easy manipulation in cold or wet conditions, or while wearing gloves
  • Right-eye dioptric correction
  • Twist-up aluminum eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • Tripod mountable with optional adapter
Construction Details
  • Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis
  • Protective slip-resistant rubber armoring
  • Textured palm rests proved additional grip strength and slip-resistance

This is a top notch optical package. I love the crisp visuals and the comfortable coated housing. These are easy to focus, and have excellent clarity.

THE ONE

This was suggested to me by a known optical guru on the Hide. I was a click away from purchasing 15x by a competitor company but I was encouraged to spend a substantially more amount of money than I was originally intending for the demands I require as a PRS competitor to be met in a 15x bino. I've been using Vortex Fury HD 5000 in the field since its release. I've looked through my father's 10x42 Vortex Vipers, brother's 8x42 Vortex Diamondback HDs, and I own a Vortex Viper 30-50x Spotter, for reference. Optical clarity is incredible. You think that your equipment is clear and then you look through these and suddenly you see the world in 4k fed by a fiber optic connection. These far exceed the ability for my eye to be too critical of. So I'll just leave you with this, it's still some of the best glass I've ever looked through. At one of the stages, a fellow competitor looked through my binoculars and asked me for the make and model because of how impressed he was with how clear their optical performance. The construction on it is adequate. You have cheap out there, and you can foresee things falling off, and you see points where you'll eventually need to get some glue on after some regular wear and tear. Then you have overkill, where you're convinced you can nuke something and it will still be perfect. I definitely give the construction an adequate rating, as nothing is too over done Operational construction is also perfectly adequate. I'm not a snob on whether or not something is too stiff, or something is too loose. Everything that's meant to move moves without issue and everything you like to keep still requires an excessive or accidental error to disturb. If it works it works and everything seems to work just as designed. If it isn't obvious to readers, you should definitely only get these if planning to glass with these on a tripod, 15x off hand will make you nauseous. In conclusion, Burris did a great job with these and are an incredible value. They compete with some of the best options out there and I do believe it to punch well above its weight class in price. If Burris continues down this trajectory, I see them being an irreplaceable name in my equipment. I already have an XTR Pro on my match rifle that I'm very pleased with, which I upgraded from a Primary Arms Platinum 6-30x56. I'm a believer and a supporter. Great job Burris, keep it up.
