For dozens of years, I never used protective filters on any of my best Nikkor G lenses and thankfully, never scratched one. But, having just dropped $6,500 for the new Z 24-70 SII and Z 70-200 SII, I thought I better not tempt fate any longer. These are beautifully made filters and I have found no degradation of image quality that I can see. I've use other types of B+W filters, but wanted to keep it in the Nikon family this time. The extra $200 for both of them is worth every penny.
Best protective filter for your Nikkor lenses....period!
