SmallRig VB99 Pro Overview

The VB99 Pro Mini Battery Kit with 15mm Mounting Plate from SmallRig includes one VB99 Pro mini V-mount battery and a 15mm LWS V-lock mounting plate.

The ultracompact, lightweight professional 99Wh battery can support up to a 14A draw at a nominal 14.8V, provides up to 100W PD fast charging, and features USB-C, USB-A, barrel, and D-Tap outputs. The battery mounts onto the plate so the battery can be mounted onto your 15mm LWS rod system.

Compatibility
  • The 12V and D-Tap outputs are compatible with devices that require 12 VDC power input, such as the Atomos Ninja Inferno monitor (the 8V output is not compatible with this monitor)
  • The D-Tap and 8V outputs are compatible with devices that require 8 VDC power input, such as the Atomos Ninja, Ninja V, Ninja V+, and Shogun monitors (the 12V output is not compatible with these monitors)

Great battery but, despite taped packaging seeming untouched, internal packaging torn, battery shows slight marking to yellow finish and silicone dust cover marked as though it was removed and reinstalled. I don't mind used products but when I purchase new I expect new condition! Box also showed signs of being dropped!

Can it simultaneously output 20v on both USB-C ports while using a USB A 5v, Both barrel at 12v & 8v and a D-tap at 14v?

With the SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Battery (Black) you would be able to use both USB-C ports at 20V, USB-A at 5V, 8V and 12V barrel outputs as well as the D-Tap at 14.8V simultaneously.

To use the 8v power out on VB99pro to smallhd 5inch bright monitor which cable can I safely use ending in a LPE6 dummy battery?

To properly power the SmallHD 5" monitor, you will need a D-Tap to Dummy LP-E6 battery. The 8V out on the SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Battery is not suitable for powering the screen.

The SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Battery will last approximately 1 hour and 39 minutes on the SmallRig RC 60C RGB LED Video Light at full power and when used with the SmallRig RC 100B Bi-Color LED Monolight it will will last about 59 minutes.

Because the SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Battery (Black) does not meet the "Micro Nano" battery dimensions, it is not compatible with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO-X 6K Digital Cinema Camera.
