Watson FastPower V-Mount Battery Overview

The FastPower VM-140-FP Battery with USB Ports from Watson is built with advanced features for powering studio gear like cameras, lights, and monitors while rapidly charging peripherals like laptops, mobile devices, drones, and wireless transmitters. It features USB-C, USB-A, D-Tap, and 8/12 VDC barrel output ports and has an advanced LED control screen that provides constant updates on the battery's status, including incoming and outgoing currents of each port and real-time remaining capacity readouts.

The VM-140-FP has a 14.8V output and supports up to a 15A draw, with Power Delivery up to 100W, so attached devices receive optimal power for rapid charging. Depending on your gear's requirements, the USB-C output current is adjustable from 1 to 6.5A. Innovative operating modes allow the battery to be used as a portable power bank capable of charging another battery, recalibrating the battery, and limiting charging to 75% capacity for optimal long-term storage. It can be recharged with a V-mount charger or via the USB-C port.

V-Mount Power
This battery fits into most standard V-mount plates, and it will power any camera, light, or monitor that draws up to 15A.
D-Tap Connector
The battery has a D-Tap port to power gear like monitors, cameras, or lights, eliminating the need to add extra batteries or power cables to a setup to run these accessories.
Multiple USB Connections
Smartphones and laptop batteries don't always last through lengthy shoots. This battery can be used as a power bank, using the integrated USB-A and USB-C ports to provide power to devices like smartphones, wireless transmitters, and receivers to avoid delays and downtime while you shoot.
USB-C Connectivity
The USB-C port provides up to 100W Power Delivery output to charge power-hungry devices quickly and efficiently, and it can also be used as an input port to recharge the battery.
Advanced LCD Screen
To prevent unexpected surprises that could interrupt your workflow, monitoring battery status is a must. The LCD screen shows remaining battery capacity and charge time. The easy-to-read screen displays constant updates on the battery's status, including incoming and outgoing currents of each port. It also displays the battery's operating temperature and current draw so you can always operate within safe parameters. There is also a 4-LED battery status indicator.
Charging Options
The VM-140-FP can be recharged via a V-mount charger or the USB-C port.
Intelligent Control Circuit
A built-in intelligent control circuit protects this battery against damage caused by current, voltage, temperature, or short-circuiting.
Accessory Mounting Options
This battery has a 1/4"-20 female thread and a cold shoe mount for adding compact accessories to your rig setup.

Great Battery At A Great Price!

This Battery Is Great! It Functions As It Should And It Has A Few Features That Are Not Common With V-mount Batteries That I've Enjoy... 1. This Battery Can Output PD 100W Power Via Usb-c. This Is Excellent Because It Can Serve As A Power Source For Laptops. 2. The Rubber Grips Are A Plus. 3. The 1/4"-20 Female Thread On A Battery Is New For Me, But I'm Sure It'll Come In Handy. 4. The LCD Screen Is Bright And Easy To Read. I Tested This Battery Out On My Rig And My Aputure Lights And It Works Well. Also, I'm Not Sure If This Battery Is Marketed As Fast Charging But I Found It To Charge Relatively Quick. The Only Thing To Note Is That The Standby LCD Screen Only Turns Off After About 60min. I Did NOT Find This To Effect The Over All Strength Of The Battery Or Power Output. In Other Words, Even Though The LCD Screen Shuts Off Automatically After 60min, It Did Not Drain The Battery As Far As I Could Tell. [I Have Received This Product In Exchange For My Honest Review]
