Nikon P1100 Reviews
The ultimate amateur camera
The P1100 caught my eye for its crazy zoom, and it more than lives up to the hype on that front. I use it mainly for bird watching and macro, but have used it for a few moon and landscape shots too. It shines in every environment I’ve used it, and is especially impressive given its relatively small sensor size. Vibration reduction is good even handheld at 3000mm. It’s not going to beat super-high-dollar setups or be great for fast-moving subjects, but for the casual photographer you cannot beat the value. Would absolutely recommend.
Moon photo
After complaining about the battery, I thought I should say something good and that is the quality of its moon images. This one was handheld taken at F5.6, 1/500 of a second, ISO 280 and 270 mm, nowhere near the maximum telephone photo of the camera
