An XLR extension component is compatible with the separately available Sony audio handle to incorporate different audio sources into your loadout. Multiple 1/4"-20 and ARRI anti-twist 3/8"-16 threads around the cage can attach articulating arms or even affix your camera in a vertical orientation, all while maintaining access to the camera's buttons and ports.
A shoe mount on the cage can accept an external monitor or shotgun microphone. You can also insert the included hand strap into the dedicated slots on the cage to provide another ergonomic handgrip.
