Achieve superb audio capture in demanding conditions for your next professional film, TV, or location recording with the Sennheiser MKH 416-P48U3 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Gold Shotgun Microphone. Created to celebrate both Sennheiser’s 80th anniversary and the MKH 416’s remarkable 50-year legacy, this exclusive model is available only through B&H, with just 50 units manufactured worldwide. It features the same moisture-resistant design, sharp directivity, low noise, and strong output that have made the MKH 416 a broadcast and film industry standard, now distinguished by real gold highlights on the outer tubing, custom anniversary packaging, and a signed letter of authenticity from Andreas Sennheiser.
Like the standard MKH 416, this special edition delivers mix-ready sound quality with no controls to worry about, just the reliability you need for high-pressure gigs. The microphone exhibits a hypercardioid polar pattern at low to midrange frequencies and transitions to a lobar pattern in high frequencies, attenuating 125 Hz to 2 kHz by approximately 10 dB at the 90° off-axis points. Dialogue, foley, and sound effects can be recorded with full dynamics and clarity, supported by the MKH 416’s wide frequency response, enhanced consonant articulation, and high SPL handling—all presented in a design that honors its 50-year heritage and Sennheiser’s enduring partnership with B&H.
