I just bought 2 of these and am having trouble getting to stick. I picked a completely flat glass surface to try on. No matter how fast or for how long I pump, they only partially pump down. Barely enough to hold their own weight. Am I missing something obvious?
Try them on other surfaces that should definitely work, & if they still don't work, it would seem they are defective.

question
Is this going to be able to support a pistol grip and a lumix dslr?? I am trying to get a suction cup so I can record my travels and can't make my choice. Stuck between this and the avenger f-1000. Any feedback is welcome. The avenger I need a manfrotto clamp with it or some adapter in order to make the rig. This looks like its ready to use and the dslr can be mounted straight on it. I need to know if it will be good with a sturdy pistol grip so I can change different angles while shooting. Thanks
EnHi am happy with this suction cup I added theManfrotto MA577438 Compact Leveling Head - Ball Camera Leveler - Supports 33 lband theManfrotto MA438577 Rapid Connect Adapter with Sliding Mounting Plate (501PL) to give me total control of adjusting and quick releaseter an answer to this question.

question
can someone confirm that the base is 14,7cm wide ?it seems that it is 6cm on manfrotto website
Manfrotto must have meant to say 6 inches. I am not in my studio, but would estimate the diameter at 6 . It is a great tool for mounting a DSLR, but I would buy three and connect them, if you are wanting to mount to the exterior of a vehicle.
