Many different attempts to trip a lens shutter deep in a recessed lensboard have failed, but the Gepe-Pro Flexible Cable Release finally solves the issue. The thread nipple is incredibly small, allowing even the shortest of lenses mounted in double-recessed lensboards to be easily accessed. Works on Copal 0 shutters mounted in Linhof Technika boards.

There are some shutters(such as Seiko) which have an angle of thread attachment that prohibits their mounting in a 96 x 99mm Linhof Technika-type board while having anything attached to their shutter.

Cable Release Extension for Recessed Lensboards is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solves your problem and does it well. If you need this product, you know it. It solves the very specific problem of not being able to screw on a cable release to the port on a wide angle lens mounted in a recessed lens board. My 90mm Super-Angulon mounted in a Linhof recessed board had this issue, making it essentially impossible to use. This extension was easy to slide into the recess and screwed right on to the port on the first try. The cable release works great now, and I can just leave the adapter attached all the time, making the cable release easy to take on and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these! I found early on that it was difficult at times to attach a cable release to my Schneider lens especially if I had gloves on. I have one of these attached to each of my lenses which makes it super easy to change lenses on my Cambo WRS. Just change the lens and screw in the shutter release to the extension. Works great with gloves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect solution Tired of seeing your big fat finger in the upper corner of your carefully composed photos? Have you ruined a couple of cable releases trying to force fit them onto that shutter in that recessed lens board? If you answer yes to either of these questions, then you need this cable release extension. Worth every penny. Mine is permanently attached to the 88mm wide angle and I just screw the regular shutter release into it. Indispensable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only devise for solving an annoying problem Forget about trying to find the parts for the stupidly complicated Linhof recessed board trigger mechanism. And then good luck remembering how it attaches to the board and shutter. Just screw in this gizmo and problem solved. This is the only extender that has a short enough nipple to join the Compur thread straight on in a tight curved space. An elegant German solution to an inelegant German problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right It's a simple little thing, but it makes a recessed Graphic View lensboard work with my Super Angulon 90 in a Synchro Compur. A very tight fit, but it solves the shutter access problem. Reaching the aperture and shutter speed levers still requires the eraser end of a pencil though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cable release safety on view cameras Field and some rail view cameras front standard can bend a cable release att he shutter screw in socket. Sometimes the cable release near the shutter bends and breaks. The Gepe flexible exgtension solves it. There is no other product like it availalbe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I have had quite a bit of difficulty with recessed lens boards, but no more. Throw away that dodgy spring loaded doobilacker that comes attached to the lens board and get one of these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution I use these as a permanent extension to my Schneider lens for my Cambo WRS. Each lens has one of these attached making it much easier and faster to attach my shutter release cable.
