Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I've Been Looking For! My boyfriend has been whining for literally years about how expensive 8x12 frames are and how difficult they are to find. I was thrilled when a quick internet search brought me to B&H! At that price, I bought him 6 frames at once and now know were to go when he wants more. This is literally exactly what he wanted - a basic, thin, black frame, no matting, in this size. Very economical, and the quality seems good enough. He already had a few 8x12 photos printed, and when he put them in the frame the photos were a hair too large. We are assuming that is the fault of the photo, not the frame. Either way, he was able to trim the photos down to fit properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I keep buying more of these This product isn't a 5-star frame when compared with other more expensive frames on the market, but at the B&H price it's a such tremendous value that it deserves 5 stars. What I like about these is: It's easy to load or change the photo through the front of the frame without having to hurt your fingers squeezing those tight clips found on many rear-loading frames. The frame is very thin so it disappears and lets your photo speak for itself. This particular version has a 3:2 aspect ratio so you don't have to crop your DSLR photos. The wall mounting holes are molded into the plastic of the frame so you just stick a nail in the wall, put the frame on it, and it hangs straight with no fussing with clips or wires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing for the price My pictures aspect ratio is 1.5, and I don't like cropping them, so this is one of the very few options available - not sure why the odd size is displayed as a con, since to me that's the plus. They're super light, perfect for wall displays. The glass quality is not that great, so you gotta give some consideration to where to place them with respect to the lighting so that you can actually see the pictures. I like the simplistic design, it's all about the picture with these. At this price, I have to give them 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice inexpensive frame Needed this size for a reduced size poster print (from 24x36). This was perfect. The frame is around 1/2" thick/deep. So it gives the print dimension versus the flat poster style frames. The plexiglass pops out allowing you to insert a print with ease; the plexiglass pops back in just as easily as it came out. There is a removable stand attached to the back for propping it up like a standard photo frame versus hanging it on the wall. There is no border to speak of to encroach on the print; it's just a small black line around the perimeter. I would definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value if they hold together I have purchased 14 of these frames, four the first time and ten the second. They arrived well packaged but one fell apart when I tried to put insert a picture. The black plastic on one side of the frame just broke off. This was a manufacturing flaw, not damage in transit. They look good when hung on the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive but Perfectly Good While this is an inexpensive frame, it just works. The thin black line that surrounds your print helps to define and draw your eye into the print. It is easy to install your print; simply tweak the frame on opposite corners and the glass pops up. You can insert your photo from the front side and replace the glass by slightly tweaking the frame and gently pressing down on the glass. There are mounting brackets on the back for both portrait and landscape orientations. A single nail is all you need to hang your framed photo. The nice thing about the 8x12 frame is that it matches your DSLR's aspect ratio, so no cropping to an 8x10! (Note: The glass is not museum quality, but it is fine for locations where fading and specular reflections are not an issue.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Basic Frame The best part of this frame was the ease in placing the photo in the frame. It uses a pop-out style glass and could not be easier to use. I did not know this at first and puzzled for a moment about how to open. But I read the instructions on the back and it was a literal snap. Excellent packaging insured they arrived crack-free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Frame! I was skeptical because this frame did not have a review and I have never seen a front loading frame in my life! This is a truly great frame if you want the main focus to be on the photo. Loading this frame is much easier than other frames that you load from the back. All you do is pull the sides of the frame, the glass pops out, you put the photo in the frame, and pop the glass back in. The price is GREAT! I am ordering 3 more of these frames so I can put 4 together on my wall! Expertise: Ameature digital photography
