question

I read that there is a possibility that the pellets that are orange and go blue might be problematic. Does anyone know about this?
Asked by: Harvey
As it absorbs moisture the color of the pellets change. Instructions are enclosed with product and on item on how to reactivate the pellets.

The pellets in the Pelican Desiccant Silica Gel for All Cases are orange. When they turn clear they need to be reactivated. Put them in an oven at 300 to 350 degrees for about three hours or until they turn orange.

Why is there such a great difference between this product and the Vello one? They look the same.

There are several similar products that range in price from $6 to $19. Pelican is a recognized name and that may be part of the reason for the price difference.

question

Can it be recharged in a microwave oven?
Asked by: Till
No. The metallic case can not be put in a microwave oven. You could probably start a fire. You have to recharge it an oven. I use my toaster oven to do it.
