Can a magic arm be mounted onto this?
Pretty sure you'd be able to attach it okay, however I wouldn't recommend it. The weight would pull it over. It doesn't hold a whole lot of weight. You could always use it with a sand bag, but even then I'd be hesitant.

Do these really collapse down to 12 ? I need something small for travel.
Fully collapsed, the overall length is 20 end to end - the length of the first section. Small diameter, though.
