The 82mm Glimmerglass Grade 1 Filter from Tiffen is a beauty filter whose function is two-fold: in addition to modifying the appearance of the image itself, it also features a sparkling appearance when viewed from the front, instilling more confidence in the model. The filter itself helps soften skin details, blemishes, and wrinkles. It also produces glowing highlights and a mild reduction in contrast for a more ethereal appearance. The grade 1 diffusion provides a small amount of softening and overall image alteration.

I want this filter for my fujifilm 35mm f2, but it seems rare to find and it doesn't seem like a lot of people have it. Is there a reason for it? I can still get it for my 16-80 but prefer 35mm for street.
Unfortunately, we are not privy to any information on the popularity or rarity of Tiffen's Glimmerglass #1 43mm filter. However, we have experience with their Glimmerglass filters and believe it will be a great addition to your system of lenses and filters!

how does the glimmerglass compare to the cinebloom?
Glimmerglass and CineBloom are essentially the same filters types, but from different manufacturers. I have seen mention that Glimmerglass is more subtle of an effect compared to CineBloom, while having less halation and less contrast loss.
