    Avenger A5029 reviews

Roller Stand 29 with Low Base (Chrome-plated, 9.5') is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well Made But Watch the Capacity This is a well-made stand, however. I mounted an Avenger D600 Boom Arm (8lbs), and a Kino-Flo Diva light (14lbs), raised the stand up, and was concerned with the amount of wobbling I was seeing in the aluminum risers. I wish this stand was all-steel. Unfortunately the all-steel stands have much wider legs. With the risers down, I have mounted 18.5lb Kino-Flo Tegra lights, and its very sturdy. I do not feel I need sand bags on the legs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great stand but missing pieces The stand is exactly what I hoped it would be: sturdy and a bit on the heavy side. Perfect for some light boom work and for moving around an 86 umbrella with relative ease. I'm taking away a star because it was missing a bolt and nut that was needed to attach one of the casters. I would have returned it but this was a last minute emergency purchase. I picked up a replacement parts in a local hardware store for about a buck. Keep in mind, the nut is in mm so you'll need an appropriate socket. (9mm I believe.) Strangely enough the stand was also missing any sort of instruction manual or warranty- odd for Manfrotto.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING stand! I was in need of a heavy duty, stable, stand and this is IT! Solid metal construction that you can FEEL! Once you grab a hold of it, you know that it's substantial. This is NOT your typical light stand! If you're looking for something you can trust.....BINGO! Not to mention the wheels glid SO smoothly....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for A heavy-duty, easy-to-use, stand that I use with my Profoto D1 and the 5' RFi Octa Softbox. A few years ago, a seasoned pro photographer suggested I get a high-end tripod that I would use for the rest of my photography career; I did and have never looked back. This stand fits in this category and is very stable and easily movable, a must for larger light shaping devices. It is also compact and easy to transport for location shoots, those with a firm and smooth floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! I brought this stand to go with my Photoflex 7 foot OctoDome and it did not disappoint. I put it through the paces and it performs flawlessly whether I extend the stand to its max height or angle it with the Photoflex Heavy Duty Grip Swivel which is a perfect combination for this set up. And I should mention that the head I have attached to it a 750 travelite that weights 8 pounds on its own. The stand didn't even require sand bags for extra stability though I might use some just form peace of mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stand I bought this stand to accompany my avenger baby boom arm. It works great and the wheels are a luxury I can't live with out. I can work without a wheeled stand if I don't use the boom, but with a boom arm on and set up with a light and modifier a wheeled stand is needed. The only drawback I can see is that even though it looks very solid and works great, I expected it to be solid while extended as well, but it wobbles a bit. That is the only reason it doesn't have a 5 star rating. However if I had to buy it again I would, it was just that I was expecting more solidness out of it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Stand I bought this stand to carry a manfrotto super boom for use on fashion sets. It holds the medium softbox+head13 lbs and the 20 lb counter weight with ease, the casters are the perfect size and quality. It is also the perfect height to be able to left up with one person and keep a center of control below chest height for anyone 5'2 and taller. it will extend up to above the standard 11 foot auto pole extension. It could be heavier on the bottom for ease of raising, I recommend the steel version for in studio, the aluminum one I got is great but could be heavier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy! Nice wide base, feels extremely sturdy and stable. Rolls easily with a 30x60 softbox & strobe attached - even on carpet.
