question

Can anyone recommend an appropriate reflector holder for this 32 reflector? I want to put it on top of a tripod/light stand but all of the reflector holders seem to be for 60 reflectors and that seems like massive overkill. Impact makes one (Impact Telescopic Collapsible Reflector Holder) but that is way too big. Looking for something cheap that will collapse small.
Asked by: B&H Customer
A smaller and less expensive reflector arm that we offer is the SP Studio Systems Universal Reflector Mounting Arm B&H # SPMAUR. Please see the image below for reference.

question

What is the difference between this and the westcott? Im choosing between the 2.
Asked by: Jonathan J.
The main differences are the size and the available surfaces. The Westcott 5-in-1 Reflector Disc is smaller at 40.5” and offers Gold, Silver, White, Black and Translucent surfaces. With the Impact 5-in-1 Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc, that is larger at 42” and offers White, Silver, Gold/Silver, and Gold surfaces. The right choice is going to depend on the size of your subject and which surfaces are more important for your particular set up.

question

When white is facing out on the front side, which color is facing out on the back side? I want to be able to instantly flip back and forth between white and silver without needing to remove the cover, turn it inside out, then reassemble the unit.
Asked by: Kevin J.
The opposite side is also white. When the cover is removed both sides are white.

question

Is it possible to bounce a tungsten light off of the reflector? Or shine a tungsten light through the white diffusion? I have 650 Watt, 600 Watt, and 1000 Watt lights. Thanks.
Asked by: Paul
I see no reason why it should not be possible. The only problem could be the heat from the light, if the distance is to short. As I have not used the reflector together with tungsten light, I can not give you any guidelines on the distance needed.
