Each Doran Light Tight Darkroom Louver is designed to supply just the right amount of air to a particular model exhaust fan.
Note: Exhaust fans work best in a darkroom equipped with fresh air supply louvers or some other kind of air supply. If there is no air supply to the darkroom the fan will be working against a vacuum and can do nothing.

Nice airflow and completely light proof. Great multi purpose vent(using mine for grow room intake) comes in 8x8 and 12x12 inch. Free shipping was kinda slow to the west coast, but it was free, works perfect, can't knock it, definitely recommend.
I have this mounted in a plywood board that I place in my bathroom window to convert it to a darkroom, and in the daytime I can see a faint glow coming through the vent. Not around the sides -- I was able to seal the edges and make them light tight, but the middle is not 100% opaque. Maybe this is okay if it's in the interior of a building, but that kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion.
