Manfrotto 272B Reviews

Let's see "how" these hold up...

I'm getting too old to travel with my beloved AutoPoles, so my solution for multiple setups or large group shots: are (2) of my trusted 420b's with 272 crossbars AND my AutoPoles! Each being 12ft tall, and 10ft wide. I appreciate the heads up on the machine oil on the crossbars! It's there for a reason, I guess. B&H's price was $10.00 cheaper than Amazon on the same exact item. Combined with my AutoPoles, I feel confident that I can shoot a group of 15 or 20 people.

Does what it suppose to do!

Fits 2 Avenger C-Stands and it's not going anywhere. Poles fit snuggly but expand easily.

It's a stick. But it's a straight stick and can get longer if you need. Buy something for the bottom of your paper. I don't have anything like that but hoping I can find something when I win 1K. Thanks B&H, you're my favorite!

Sturdy and dependable. I use it between two Manfrotto autopoles in my small home studio for seamless and other backdrops. I set it at 5' and extend it when necessary. The extra money spent now will pay off in the future. Can't beat Manfrotto for quality.

Sturdy and useful

Having tried a number of other poles that bend and buckle under fabrics, the Manfrotto 272B is a different calibre. It's actually strong enough to run between a pair of c-stands and now bow in the middle. It still flexes a tiny bit but it's a great lightweight solution without having to resort to heavy duty pipe and clamps.

Works for smaller rolls and to clamp overhead LED lights

I have this across my full roll background system poles to attach smaller overhead LED lights and sometimes I use it for smaller rolls of paper when I am doing product photography. It is easy to take down and store when I don't need it. The adjustable telescoping width makes it versatile for all kinds of applications.

Nice piece, light weight for the price though

This is good cross bar to connect 5/8 c stands together to hang seamless on or cloth backdrops. The ends are small enough to allow Savage rolls over them with the t screw removed. (saw a few complaints about this but isn't a problem for me). I would expect for this price this thing should be bomb proof but it is light thin aluminum that I will hesitate to use for anything but its intended purpose of supporting seamless rolls or light cloth backgrounds. (does seem if it was over stressed it would collapse).
