I used this on a PA system in a fire station. Worked absolutely well and the price is very reasonable.

I've used these to replace older systems in Commercial buildings and apartment buildings for light music and announcements. Obviously they aren't Hifi Speakers But they do their job. Most of the speakers they replaced were blown. I haven't had any defective ones and they seem to be pretty sturdy construction. i wouldn't recommend these for movies or presentations or talks on stage. they would need a lot of EQ.

is there away to control the volume if it doesnt have a knob?
The volume can be changed by connecting to different taps on the transformer ( 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, or 4 watts). That is one of the advantages of a 25/70 volt system.
Hope this helps.

What leads do I use from the Bogen S86-T725 ceiling speakers(11) to a Bogen V250 amplifier?
You will use the black lead for common (earth/ground) and then whichever tap you choose to use (25v 70v or 8 ohm) and connect the corresponding lead to the amp.
