Is the stud length long enough to secure a Matthews 2.5" griphead?
The Manfrotto 186 Female Threaded 3/8" to Male 5/8" Stud Adapter - 50mm Long (B&H# MA186) is just under 2" long. As such, while it would be possible to use some grip heads with it, that length is much shorter than normal and generally would not be recommended. Generally speaking, one would use a longer pin such as Impact 6" Baby Pin with Collar 1/4 and 3/8" Tap (B&H# IMSRP110P): https://bhpho.to/3DuPxUj
