My favored design (the same as Billingham's Hadley line) two roomy outside pockets and one big inside with removable padding. The RuggedWear material seems to be sturdier than the old heavy canvas version that finally wore out. I'm dinging one star due to the current removable padded insert: 3.5 x 3.5" with sewn-in non-removable padding and no padding on the bottom. The older insert was 3.5 x 4" and had removable (interchangable) padding and padding on the bottom - I could alter the thickness of the foam padding to fit my XPro3 w/ 35mm f1.4. The current insert fits only my X100VI. Unfortunately Domke does not offer other size inserts for the F-803 - you'll have to make your own.

Much Too Small For SLRs Or DSLRS With Lenses - Returned - I Am Not A Domke Cult Member

I Bought Two Domke Bags A F-803 And A F5XB - I Kept A Small Bag (F5XB) For My Wife's Small Point And Shoot. I Use SLRs And DSLRs - The F-803 Bag Is Too Small For A Non-pro DSLR With A Small Lens Attached. It Will Fit A Body Without A Lens Attached But The Lack Of Padding And So Forth Offers Zero Protection - A Single Layer Of Canvas Is Not Enough. The Stitched Together Pad Square Is A Joke. The Zippered Pockets On The Front Flap Are Too Tight For Much More Than SD Cards. The Pockets On The Front Of The Bag Will Hold Items But The Velcro Closures Offer No Protection Against Dust And Things Will Fall Out. I Tried To Fit A Notebook That Holds 8.5 X 11" Legal Pad In The Back Section - No Way It Would Fit. I Have Been Shooting Wildlife For Many Years And Would Not Be Able To Use The Bag For What I Need In The Field Or What I Carry In My Truck. I Have Many Different Bags, Shoulder Bags, Backpacks, Rolling Bags And So Forth - All Served The Purpose I Needed Them To. I Am Not A Domke Cult Member And I Was Very Disappointed In The Product. I Will Finally Note That The Domke Product Descriptions On The Websites Are Poor And Very Simplistic. - Almost Forgot The Front Clip To Close The Bag Is Terrible.

Do the two zippers on the flap allow you to reach into the bag without opening the flap?

The 2 zippers on the front of this bag are actually 1 zipper divided by the vertical buckle strap...I unpicked my vertical buckle strap...moved it lower so now one big zipper and pocket with a plastic press buckle replacing the metal clip.

Does anyone know of a USA made day bag a little smaller than this? I will probably carry a Fuji mirrorless with small prime plus another prime or 18-55 kit lens. Also accessories like batteries, filters, cleaning wipes, cell phone, etc. I have this bag but it is a little large for going to amusement parks and day trips.
