This pull out shelf is just what I needed for my rack. Once it is adjusted in the rack it stays in place when it is retracted. I couldn't be happier. I will probably be buying more of these in the future.

Unit is quality. Item was well packaged. Showed up with some hardware loose in package...missing a nut. Got it to work although. I would buy again.

Yes, it's 19 inches wide so it will fit in any standard rack. Shelf depth 15 inches sounds right. It is set up so you can screw it into the front and back rack rails if you case has them (highly recommended if your gear is heavy). These are very nice. Using mine in a Bradshaw guitar rack.

can it lock?
If you're asking whether the shelf can lock so that it doesn't slide out when the rack is tilted, the answer is no. My rack has lids on the front and back so even if it is tilted the shelf will bump into the lid. I never had a problem with it and I like it a lot. Everything that I have on it velcroed to stay in place.
