Buffered with calcium carbonate for added protection and longer life, they have no optical brightening agents. The pearl white color is characterized by a warmer tonality than bright white museum board and is less yellow than antique white. Please note, this is for matboard only with no window openings.

Is 8x10 the size of the back board or the size of the window? I am thinking the size of the back board, but would like to be sure. Thanks.
Its the size of the whole board. There are no windows.

Is it for printing right on board , or is it adhesive board?
Neither, it's for matting prints. You sandwich your print between two pieces of the mat board. One of the pieces has a window cut in it to view your print through and the other piece is purely a backing board. You attach the print to the backing usually with linen tape or dry mount tissue and the window mat is usually hinged to the back board with linen tape. That's what it's traditionally used for but if you want to print on it don't let it's intended use stop you. Just remember that it's rather thick so you can't print on it with a home printer. Screen printing would be a good bet or some alternative photographic processes would work. I've seen some print on it using high end large format epson printers but they almost broke the printer in the process.
